Freda Bedi (born Freda Marie Houlston; 5 February 1911 – 26 March 1977), also known as Sister Palmo or Gelongma Karma Kechog Palmo, was an English-Indian social worker, writer, Indian nationalist and Buddhist nun. She was jailed in British India as a supporter of Indian nationalism and was the first Western woman to take full ordination in Tibetan Buddhism.

Manuel Bonilla, the leader of the revolution in Honduras, in all probability will agree to an armistice within a few days and accept the mediation of the United States, to bring to an end the revolution which has rent the little republic asunder. This information was conveyed to the State Department to-day in a wireless telegram from Commander Davis of the American gunboat Tacoma.
