BOSTON, Feb. 4. -- The White Star Line office here received a wireless message from Capt. Finch of the Cymric this afternoon saying the steamer probably would reach Boston Lightship about midnight. The weather was foggy. She probably will not dock till morning.

POWDER WORKS BLOW UP.; Three Storehouses of the Du Pont Co. at Gibbstown, N.J., Destroyed. Supt. Leary Ill of Pleurisy. BROOKLYN NEWS NOTES.

WOODBURY, N.J., Feb. 5. -- Three of the big powder storehouses of the Du Pont Powder Company's plant at Gibbstown, near here, were destroyed by an explosion shortly after 4 o'clock this morning. No one was killed, and only three men were hurt. The damage is estimated at $75,000.

Fire practically destroyed the five-story brick and iron building at 43-45 Worth Street, in the heart of the dry goods district, with most of its contents, between 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon and 10 o'clock last night. The damage was $200, 000, but before the fire was out two fire companies had gone down apparently to certain death with two falling floors of the building.
