Milan Kundera

Milan Kundera (Aussprache [ˈmɪlan ˈkundɛra], * 1. April 1929 in Brünn, Tschechoslowakei; † 11. Juli 2023 in Paris, Frankreich) war ein tschechisch-französischer Schriftsteller. Bekannt wurde er durch die Anthologie Das Buch der lächerlichen Liebe (1969). Den kommerziell größten Erfolg feierte er mit dem Roman Die unerträgliche Leichtigkeit des Seins (1984). Ab 1984 schrieb Kundera in französischer Sprache. Er lehrte Literatur an der École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris.
