PINEHURST, N.C., March 28: -- Miss Dorothy Campbell of the Hamilton (Ontario) Golf Club, British and Canadian champion and former American titleholder, was defeated to-day by Miss Kate Van Ostrand of the Jefferson Country Club of Watertown, N.Y., in the semifinal round of the women's event of the United North and South amateur golf championship.
